Capable Cubs emerged from the need for higher quality ABA therapy services for children with autism. Our goal is to provide the most effective treatment for autism that results in a higher quality of life for individuals on the spectrum and their families. Our comprehensive approach to ABA therapy involves methods supported by decades of research and is delivered by our compassionate and highly qualified clinical staff.
Our unique clinical approach involves a number of different ABA methods including natural environment teaching (NET), discrete trial training (DTT), personalized system of instruction (PSI) and verbal behavior analysis (VBA). Each and every method we use is grounded in significant evidence and years of research.
In order to provide the most effective treatment, we believe it is critical to constantly stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the autism and ABA therapy fields. This is why we have partnered with the top professors and researchers in the autism space, who regularly review and provide feedback on our treatment programming.
We believe the best treatment for a child involves the coordination of all the important figures in his or her life. Throughout treatment, we foster a high level of collaboration with each child’s parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to ensure he or she is receiving consistent and effective care both inside and outside of our centers.
We deliver treatment in our modern facility that was specifically designed for children with developmental disabilities. We believe that a center-based approach provides children with an environment highly conducive for learning. From one-on-one treatment rooms for children who require more comprehensive support to larger treatment rooms for children who are ready for group instruction, our center is equipped for every stage of learning.
Our end goal for each of our clients is graduation from our program. After performing an extensive initial assessment, we will discuss whether a comprehensive or focused treatment plan makes the most sense for the child. We will then create a detailed roadmap of the child’s treatment programming that includes important learning milestones as well as a comprehensive fade-out plan that is designed to him or her successfully transition out of therapy.
Caregivers are the most important part of a child’s development. That is why we work collaboratively with each family to ensure that their child achieves his or her optimal outcome. As part of treatment programming, we provide family training to equip parents with the tools they need to continue to drive clinical progress outside of the walls of our centers.
The BHCOE (Behavioral Health Center of Excellence) has awarded Capable Cubs Therapy with a Preliminary Accreditation, recognizing the organization as an exceptional behavioral service provider dedicated to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis. BHCOE gives preliminary accreditation to new and emerging ABA providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff qualifications, and promote systems that enhance these areas.
